How do I know if my windshield can be repaired or if it needs to be replaced?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

In general, chips smaller than a quarter and cracks shorter than about three inches can often be repaired. However, location matters — damage in the driver’s line of sight, near an edge, or directly in front of a camera or sensor may require full replacement. Our technicians will assess your glass when they arrive and give you an honest recommendation before any work begins.

What types of auto glass do you service?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

We repair and replace all auto glass — windshields, side windows, rear windows, and quarter glass. Whether it’s a small chip in your windshield or a completely shattered side window, we have you covered.

What is ADAS recalibration and do I need it after a windshield replacement?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) includes features like lane departure warnings, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Many of these rely on cameras or sensors mounted to or near the windshield. When a windshield is replaced, those components often need to be recalibrated to ensure they’re reading the road accurately. We offer full recalibration services and can tell you upfront whether your vehicle requires it.

Do you work with my insurance company?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

Yes — we accept most insurance providers and can handle the claims process on your behalf. Just let us know your insurer when you contact us and we’ll take care of the paperwork. In many cases, your out-of-pocket cost may be $0 depending on your coverage and deductible.

Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

In Arizona, auto glass claims are typically filed under comprehensive coverage, which is generally not considered an “at fault” claim. Most drivers do not see a rate increase as a result. That said, policies vary — we recommend confirming with your insurance agent if you have concerns about your specific plan.

Can I use Gold Star Glass even if my insurer tries to send me elsewhere?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

Absolutely. Arizona law gives you the right to choose any licensed auto glass shop, regardless of which shop your insurer recommends. You are never required to use an insurer’s “preferred” vendor. We will work with your insurer directly on your behalf.

Do I have to bring my car in, or do you come to me?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

We come to you. Our mobile service means you don’t need to drop off your car or rearrange your day. We can meet you at home, at work, or wherever your car is parked across our service areas — Chandler, Gilbert, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, San Tan Valley, Tempe and Queen Creek.

How quickly can you get to me?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

We offer same-day and next-day appointments in most cases. If you call us in the morning, there’s a good chance we can be there that same afternoon. Call us at 480-470-8000 or get a free quote online to check availability.

How long does a windshield replacement take?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

Most windshield replacements take about 60–90 minutes. A chip or crack repair is faster, typically 30–45 minutes. We’ll also walk you through any post-installation care instructions before we leave so your new glass sets properly.

Do you serve my area?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

We proudly serve the greater Phoenix metro area, including Chandler, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Mesa, Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Tempe, and Phoenix. Not sure if you’re in our service area? Give us a call at 480-470-8000 and we’ll let you know.

What kind of warranty do you offer?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

All of our auto glass services come with a lifetime warranty covering leaks, whistling, and workmanship defects. If something isn’t right, we’ll come back and fix it — no charge. It’s our way of standing behind every job we do.

How long do I need to wait before driving after a replacement?2026-03-31T17:26:40+00:00

We typically recommend waiting at least one hour after installation before driving, to allow the urethane adhesive to cure properly. We’ll give you specific guidance based on weather conditions and your vehicle at the time of service — Arizona heat can sometimes affect curing times.

Is the replacement glass OEM quality?2026-03-31T17:26:39+00:00

Yes. We use high-quality OEM-equivalent glass that meets or exceeds federal safety standards. We’ll discuss your glass options with you during the quote process so you can make an informed decision for your vehicle.
